An official blurb: For the first time in the history Night running in Prague! Enjoy the charming atmosphere of Prague by night. An illuminated course through the historical city center means a unique experience for everyone!
-Yeah, that's right, I finally decided to run something official.
-It was the first year of a 10km night race through Prague. We left for Prague with Jirka and also Lukas, another friend of his. It
was kinda rainy the whole day but when we found out there's about three thousand people signed up, we decided do it for sure. Plus after Slovakia (see Blue Trail) a little sprinkle couldn't put us off:)
-By the time the race was starting it stopped raining and the temperature was very moderate too. We started on the Old Town square, headed across the river, back to Old Town and the finnish line was on the square again. Seriously, it was very pretty! I was very surprised by how many by-standers there were along the track, whether they be tourists or Praguers or the staff. They clapped and cheered and there were bands playing to the rhytm of our pace. That all even added up to the already great atmosphere.
-The Kenyans finished about twenty minutes before us and were probably having a shower in their hotel rooms by the time we crossed the line but we also got a medal, so what!
-On the way back from the race I walked just one street from Cream&Dream (the best gelato). Five minutes later I was leaving the store with two scoops of this wonderful product.
-All in all it was a great event and I can't wait till next year. I higly recommend!
